The techniques used by machinery to heat and melt the powder, are many and varied (thermal, laser, agent and energy or electron beam melting among others), what they all have in common is the release of harmful powders even on the object made.
These residues must be blown off each product to prevent:
-Health hazards to those handling the object: the dusts are very fine and can be easily inhaled; in addition, metal dusts can cause skin damage;
-Risk of explosion, in case processing is done with conductive powders;
-Accumulation of dust on the workpiece resulting in loss of quality;
Vacuum systems with integrated filtration, in the form of benches or mobile vacuum cleaners, are an ideal solution for safely blowing off parts once printing is complete.
