Suction minicabs
Categorie
Mini suction cabins are a countertop workstation usually used for painting, gluing, retouching, and or other activities that require safety ventilation, provided by the suction front positioned in front of the operator so as to protect the respiratory tract.
In professional and manufacturing contexts, mini suction booths are used for small tasks such as touch-up painting, resins, gluing, or other activities during which chemicals to be applied by gun or brush that release harmful agents such as solvents are used.
Unique features of mini suction booths
- integrated work surface between the two side walls allows for "containment" of fumes or micro-dust produced
- front suction wall creates a flow of air in the opposite direction to the operator's respiratory tract, preventing pollutants from flowing toward him or her
Mini suction booths are equipped with two filter stages :
- stage 1: composed of a layer of sturdy special non-flammable paper with offset holes housed in special guides and fixed laterally with screw-on paper retainers that make its replacement very easy. This special system allows the contained air to change direction so that pollutant particles are pushed outward onto the absorbing wall of the filter. The outlet holes are self-cleaning.
- Stage 2: Composed of 23-mm-thick flat filters made of galvanized sheet metal U-profiles frame, two containment nets of electro-welded galvanized steel wire, and progressive density glass fiber filter media with a grammage of 200 g/m2 and thickness of 50 mm.
The vacuum cleaner is fully integrated in the upper part and ensures adequate flow rate and, above all, sufficient pressure so that what is sucked in can be effectively sucked in and expelled outside the premises, in compliance with the relevant regulations.
From the point of view of occupational safety, the use of a mini vacuum cabin reduces the possibility of accidents due to chemical agents. We know fortunately they are not very numerous but, if they do happen, they are often very serious or fatal and can involve several people and the company's environment. The dangers from chemical agents are not immediately obvious and perceptible; as indicated by professionals, underestimation of the risk should be avoided and appropriate and necessary preventive measures should be implemented.
In the event that the painting operations or the fumes produced are in large quantities, it is definitely necessary to consider the use of an industrial spray booth, designed in function and with dimensions depending on the work performed.
